Our Story

Nurturing Curious Minds,
Building Bright Futures

Amina International School Dhaka was founded on a simple belief: every child deserves an education that is both excellent and deeply human.

Who We Are

A School Born from
Love for Learning

From a single classroom to a thriving community, AISD has grown into one of Uttara's most trusted learning institutions — shaped by dedicated educators and the families who chose to grow with us.

2018 Year Founded

Amina International School Dhaka opened its doors in 2018 in the heart of Uttara — a neighbourhood filled with young families seeking quality, values-centred education for their children. The school's name honours a vision of compassion, knowledge, and integrity that its founders wished to embed in every classroom.

What began as a small early-childhood programme has steadily expanded to serve students from Day Care through Class V, alongside the Amina Learning Centre for supplementary academic support. Each step of this growth has been deliberate, guided by feedback from our families and a commitment to never outgrowing our warmth.

Today, AISD stands as a community where Bangladeshi heritage and international educational standards meet — preparing children not just for the next grade, but for a life of curiosity and contribution.

Leadership

Meet Our Founder

AISD was founded and continues to be led by an educator whose personal mission is to make quality learning accessible, warm, and transformative.

Amina Begum Mina — Founder & Principal, AISD

Amina Begum Mina

Founder & Principal — Amina International School Dhaka

With a background in early childhood development and a deep passion for nurturing young learners, Amina Begum Mina established AISD to create a school she herself wished had existed when her own children were growing up. Her philosophy is grounded in respect — respect for each child's pace, curiosity, and potential. Under her leadership, AISD has developed a reputation for genuine care, academic rigour, and a school culture where every student feels seen.
